Tell us a bit about it? The Market is in its third season nowand it’s a great place to spend some time on a Saturday morning. You can come down and enjoy the music, coffee, fine food and sit awhile. Have a game of chess or noughts and crosses. Andof course buy your veggies, preserves, crafts, face creams and much more and of course it’s coming up to Christmas. Whatis one of the most unusual or innovative things you have seen sold at the market? There are lots of innovative and unusual things to find at the Market and I love all of them. But I think the most interesting forme has to be the things that children make to fundraise. They are so clever. Doyou have a certain routine you follow eachweek at the market? I grab a coffee as soon as David is set up and around 10am it’s time to start collecting the fees. I usually hang around until the end of the market to help pack down.Agreat way to spendmy Saturday mornings. Whatis one of our favourite tasty treats from the market? It has to be Kaikoura Cheese! Just love their harnett and of course the fruit as it comes into season and the preserves, Lookwho is talking OCTOBER 14, 2015, MARLBOROUGH MIDWEEK 9 chutneys and jams etc. Whereis the most incredible place you have visited?Any travel plans on the agenda? To date has to be a little town called Cazorla in Andalucia, with the best tapas to die for and no tourists. It was a fantastic trip, driving up into the mountains, higher and higher and swimming in the most beautiful infinity pool at a hotel in the middle of nowhere –we pretty much had this amazing place to ourselves. Heaven. Wasthere ever a timewhen you were at crossroads in your life?Anyregrets? I have had a few crossroads in mylife, but the biggest was deciding to come toNewZealand. Any regrets ? No, just wish it was quicker to get back to your family when they needed you. 30 hours is a long time in an emergency. Whatadvice would you give your 15 year old self? To live life to the fullest, and don’t regret a thing. It will all come out OK. Whatis on your bucket list for the future? More travel. Back to theUK and Europe next year and after that! Whoknows, the world is closer now than ever before. Anyadvice/wisdom you would like to share with readers? Enjoy every day if it’s your last.
